About the new permission “SuperUser”:
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander suports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

What’s New:
Release v3.0 beta 16
Fixed: When using very large screen scaling and fonts, the second button in the re-pack confirmation dialog (After Unpack+Edit) wasn’t visible
Fixed: Editor: Saving file to read only partition failed when path didn’t start with /system or /data
Added: Show error reason when saving file in editor fails
Fixed: Deleting user-added buttons from lower toolbar no longer worked
Fixed: Show k/M/G suffix for size fields appended to the number, so it doesn’t get separated when the space is too narrow
Fixed: Couldn’t write files to memory card on Huawei devices with Android 10 because DocumentsContract.createDocument caused an exception despite successfully creating the file
